Tomorrow's Joke

TODAY'S QUOTE:
The crisis of yesterday is the joke of tomorrow.
H. G. Wells

Things always look better from a distance, time softens even the worst of our memories so the funny portions we did not notice during the madness is revealed. My husband once had a mouse run up the leg of his jeans, I noticed both the crisis and the joke, but it took him much longer to chuckle. When your balls are at risk, in any fashion, it works the same way.
Irony is thick even in the stickiest situations. Laughter aimed at yourself disarms all who hear it, nothing gets a bigger audience than a good story and what better kind of tales are there than ones you can enlarge a bit for effect. After all the dealing is done and the coping is mastered, there is nothing left to do except enjoy the laughter.
