Forever Fools

TODAY'S QUOTE:
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.
Chinese saying

The habit of acting as if you can simply figure everything out by pretending as if it is already known or blundering until it is stumbled upon by mistake wastes tons of time. I hate feeling foolish, but appearing clueless need not be a thing akin to shame, since it is a condition we all suffer from.
The best way to find out any unknown is to ask someone who knows. Find out as soon as possible and use the time gained in a more constructive way than going in endless circles looking for the invisible.
Being a fool by accident is a lot more sensible, than doing so purposely. And a forever fool is someone more interested in appearing infallible than in being real. Wasting time trying to be in the know with no information to back up the action only makes an easy retreat impossible. Better to ask early, and free yourself from the need of swallowing crow past a throat constricted by frustration.
